Our campus has been working on Year-2000 compliance (Y2K) projects since January 1996, when the first year-2000 renewal dates began affecting our various systems. After a series of presentations and meetings in early 1998, a Y2K Task Force was organized (see List of Y2K Task Force members) and has been meeting since June 1998 to identify and remediate Y2K issues for all campus-wide and major systems, including computer applications, computer hardware & systems software, and embedded microprocessors/systems. A recent example is the new Y2K-compliant payroll system, which was implemented in Nov. 98.

A ReadMe.Txt file on the floppy provides additional information. If a department has not received this floppy disk, please contact the Y2K Information Center. |
